This fundraiser aims to establish a Youth Hub in Redbridge for young people involved with Youth Offending Services and Children’s Services — a safe, structured environment that supports early intervention, wellbeing, and positive futures.
The hub will provide targeted workshops on substance misuse, child criminal exploitation, and healthy relationships, alongside employability and career pathway sessions delivered by professionals across trade, retail, beauty, fitness, and sports industries. Young people will gain practical skills including CV development, interview preparation, and workplace confidence.
By combining education, wellbeing support, technology, fitness, and mentorship in one space, the Youth Hub addresses a critical gap — transforming potential into opportunity and helping young people move away from risk and toward stability, purpose, and long-term success.
📌 Nearly 1 million young people in the UK are currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET), showing a broader national challenge in youth engagement and opportunities.
📌 About 12.5 % of 16–24-year-olds in the UK were NEET in 2025, meaning a significant portion of young people are disconnected from education and work — even as opportunities fluctuate with the economy.
📌 In Redbridge, the NEET rate for 16–17-year-olds is around 2.2 %, which, while lower than many areas, is still above the London average and highlights that pockets of young people face real barriers to sustained engagement.
📌 Local analysis shows that disadvantaged young people in Redbridge are more likely to be NEET than their peers, underscoring the impact of socioeconomic barriers on opportunity.
We take a holistic approach that addresses the whole young person — not just behaviour. Education, wellbeing, physical health, emotional regulation, and employability are integrated rather than treated in isolation. Workshops are practical, interactive, and relevant, ensuring young people gain real-world skills they can apply beyond the hub.
Above all, our approach is strength-based. We focus on potential, resilience, and progress — not labels or past mistakes. By meeting young people where they are and supporting them to take the next positive step, the Youth Hub aims to create sustainable outcomes that reduce risk, increase engagement, and open doors to brighter futures.

The challenge is a 13km walk from Romford Station to Stratford Station, completed in one continuous journey.
While the route is walkable for most people, the challenge comes from the target time. The average walking time for this distance is longer, but the aim is to complete it 10–20 minutes faster than expected, push

The route is pretty straight forward, its calculated to take around 3hrs walking. Lets see how we get on!

The aim is to get there with 15-20 mins spare! Race against the clock and a challenge I look forward to.

This Walk will be live streamed, a link will go out closer to the time. Live watchers can interact and determine my next move!
